How Ori handles your data
The short version
- You can use Ori without an account. Sign in only if you want to sync.
- What you type, say, or attach is sent to trusted AI providers so they can generate your answer, image, video, or audio — and then returned to you.
- We use a small, standard set of tools to keep the app working, fix crashes, and understand what’s useful — and, only with your permission, to measure our marketing.
- We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t build ad profiles about you.
- You can delete everything any time from Settings.
What we collect, why, and how long
| What | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|
| Email + sign-in (optional) | So you can sync across devices | Until you delete your account |
| Your chats, prompts, attachments | To generate answers & let you revisit them | Until you delete them or your account |
| Generated images / video / audio | So you can view, save, and share them | Until you delete them or your account |
| Voice recordings | Converted to text so you can dictate | Transcribed, then discarded (provider terms apply) |
| App usage & crash diagnostics | To fix bugs and improve features | A limited period, then aggregated |
| Device & advertising identifiers | To measure ad performance (only with your permission) | A limited period |
| Subscription status | To unlock Premium | While you’re a customer + records we must keep |
Who processes your content
Your prompts and content go to AI providers that create the output: Anthropic (text), Black Forest Labs (images), Google / Kling (Kuaishou) / Runway / Luma (video), and ElevenLabs and Deepgram (voice). Some processing happens outside your country, including the United States and — for some video generation — China, with safeguards described in the Privacy Policy.
The tools that keep Ori running
Firebase (sign-in, crash reports, notifications), PostHog (product analytics), AppsFlyer (ad measurement), RevenueCat (subscriptions), and Sentry (error monitoring).
